Franziska Kuttler
“I really like to create concepts and be creative. There is nothing more exciting for me than staging people and clothes and sharing it with the whole world.”
Intercru: Where are you from? Where are you living/working now?
I’m Franzi and I come from a small town in the middle of Germany. Nine years ago I moved to Berlin and for the last two years I’ve been working as a freelance photographer with a focus on fashion, lifestyle, and people.
What got you into photography?
I really like to create concepts and be creative. There is nothing more exciting for me than staging people and clothes and sharing it with the whole world.
Also, I love the contact with other people. I found so many friends through photography and met so many interesting people.
What was the first camera you ever had?
A small Canon 1100D. My grandma bought me this camera for my 18th birthday.
What are some of your favorite accounts to follow on Instagram?
At the moment really like @linatesch and @garrettnaccarato.
Where do you find inspiration for your photography?
Literally everywhere!
Mostly on social media like Instagram, Pinterest, or Behance. But also in films, magazines, books or in special lighting situations.
How would you describe your photographic style?
I think it’s very clean and minimalistic. Maybe a bit dreamy.
What’s the best advice you would give to other photographers?
For all the other young photographers or beginners: don’t compare yourself with others! You don’t know their story. Focus on your own path and be proud about your advances.
