Marco Miraglia
“These little moments in time when you feel completely safe, at home, and whole. When you don’t need anything. These little epiphanies are rare but priceless, and very close to the essence of photography itself”
Intercru: Where are you from?
Marco: I am born in Treviso, it’s a small town near Venezia, Italy.
Where do you live and work now?
I live and work between Milan and Paris at COURAGE, a video and photo production company for fashion and advertising.
What’s your favorite food?
I have to say risotto or pasta, in general every Italian first dish.
Where would your dream vacation be?
I am not really into the concept of tourism. I am actually quite against it. I travel if and when there is a reason related to my life, but thanks to my job I traveled quite a lot.
Besides that, I do love mountains :)
Who is your favorite photographer?
I am going with a boring choice here: Helmut Newton.
What’s your favorite movie of all time?
A classic one: 8 1/2 by Federico Fellini. But there are many directors I love like Antonioni, Jean Luc Godard, and Lars Von Trier, just to name a few.
What’s your biggest fear?
It’s an existential, and somehow selfish fear. The fear that the entire human existence is meaningless and accidental, and everything will be lost one day.
What really makes you happy?
These little moments in time when you feel completely safe, at home, and whole. When you don’t need anything. These little epiphanies are rare but priceless, and very close to the essence of photography itself.
If a genie gave you 3 wishes, what would they be?
A genie is a fictional character so I’ll probably ask for some fictional superhero shit. Something like: mind reading, time bending skills, and invisibility ^_^
What’s your favorite show on Netflix right now?
I don’t watch any TV shows, but I do love video games. I believe there is much more evolution in game design and videogame’s language than in cinema and movies.
Who knows you the best?
Unfortunately, myself.
