Intercru: Where are you from? Where do you live and work now?
Julia: I am from Poland, now I live and work in Warsaw, but I am from a small town in central Poland.
What’s your favorite movie of all time?
It’s hard for me to decide, but if I have to it would be “Mr. Nobody.” It’s not about the message of this movie at all, but about those beautiful and penetrating frames and colors from this movie. I really like watching lovely scenes, good photos, warm colors, close-ups of people’s faces, emotions, faces they make while feeling something. Mr. Nobody is full of it.
Who are your favorite accounts to follow on Instagram?
My boyfriend, haha, he is my favorite photographer of all time. But to be serious, it’s @homesickplacesmagazine. It has all of those colors and style I like.
Where do you find your inspiration?
I don’t know. Seriously. Everything is just in my head and sometimes it’s hard to explain my ideas for somebody, but I see it and I always want to try it. I also use Pinterest and Instagram of course.
What’s your favorite thing to do in your spare time?
My spirit animal is a sloth, sooo... just chilling and laying in my bed with my dog. I really love sunbathing too. I also play the ukulele, write some “things”- my thoughts or plans...I really like planning my future, close and distant.
How did you get started modeling?
It’s kind of a funny story of my childhood. When I was in primary school one of my friends had a camera, so she was a photographer, and I was a model, and we would spend hours planning and doing photo sessions. In high school it started again, but with another friend with a better camera and in a more precise way. We even won one of photo competitions in our school haha. And then I moved to Warsaw, met many photographers, and...here I am!
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
I don’t think that I’ve ever gotten such good advice to think it over and remember. I only receive everyday advice like “pose like that, not like this,” “cut/grow your hair to look better,” “be yourself,” “love yourself,” “eat something healthy,” “workout” and many others. But it’s not so important to me. I prefer do what I like and how I like.
