Doug Cuddeback
“I’ve always been fascinated with the 1960’s advertising industry in NYC”
Intercru: Where are you from?
Doug: Rochester, NY
Where do you live and work now?
Providence, RI
What was your first job?
I’ve had many jobs! My very first was as a busboy back in NY. My first industry job was at an advertising agency and I was an Associate Art Director there. I did that for three years before switching to film/photo.
If you could meet any celebrity in the world, who would it be?
Ryan Booth- he’s a director and former cinematographer. He’s a celebrity to me.
What’s your proudest accomplishment?
This is tough... I guess to piggyback off of my first response: switching industries was a big deal for me. I went from a Designer/Art Director to cinematography full-time...and without going broke in the process!
If you could travel back in time, when and where would you go?
I’ve always been fascinated with the 1960’s advertising industry in NYC. I wouldn’t mind living there for a few years.
Who knows you the best?
My wife, Melissa!
In 3 words how would you describe yourself?
Ambitious, friendly, attentive.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
I would’ve taken that film photography class in high school.
Do you prefer a hot day at the beach or a snowy day in the mountains?
Hot day, cold beer.
If you had a superpower what would it be?
Flying really fast so I could travel all the time.
What’s your favorite meal of the day?
I love a good dinner.
