Intercru: Where are you from? Where do you live and work now?
Ailera: I grew up in Lithuania, a small country by the Baltic Sea. I left to live and study in the UK after I finished school and I'm still here, almost 10 years later.
What kind of emotions do you look for in your photos?
Probably what I feel the most myself. So a sense of nostalgia, sadness, isolation, but also some hope and wonder, dreaming to make the world a little bit better, and find the beauty in what we have.
For you, what makes the perfect photo?
If it makes you stop for a minute, to think or feel something, or bring you back to a memory you have.
What do you do to find inspiration for your photography?
I love watching movies and shows for this, it's definitely the easiest as it's also such a visual medium. But also books and music, magazines, pinterest or instagram scroll can give some unexpected ideas too. Sometimes a location you pass by or a model can also inspire some great ideas.
