Aaron Taylor
Intercru spoke with photographer and traveler-extraordinaire Aaron Taylor about his photography, the city that inspires him, and the coolest place he’s ever been
Intercru: Where are you from?
Aaron: Hard to say. I’ve spent a lot of time in Tennessee and good bit of time in Michigan.
Where do you live and work now?
I’m in London, where I’ve been living the last 5 years.
How did you get started as a photographer?
I took a class at University about a decade ago. My first photos were absolutely terrible. But I kept shooting away until I was able to create something halfway decent. Now, I’ve gotten to the point where I can more or less capture what I have in my head, but there’s always room to grow!
What do you do to find creative inspiration?
I’m inspired by the city of London - it’s such a vibrant, diverse place. The space age architecture blends with buildings over 500 years old to create a really interesting visual contrast. Now, if only we could get more sunny days...
What’s been the coolest place you’ve traveled to so far?
Morocco. Nothing beats watching the sun rise over the Sahara Desert. The pink-purple sky was alive and I knew everything was gonna be alright.
What’s your favorite part about photography?
The feeling a picture conveys. Great photos make powerful statements that mere words can’t quite capture.
