Nacho García Borrella
“I love images that tell you something and make you feel different emotions. That’s what motivates me to keep creating”
Intercru: Where are you from?
Nacho: I was born in Málaga in May 1994. My family moved to Madrid until I was 10 years old, then we moved back to Málaga again.
Where do you live and work now?
I moved to Madrid in November 2019 to look for new job opportunities.
How did you get started in photography?
It’s funny because I started to be attracted to photography using my mom’s phone, a Nokia N73. At the time the camera was really good and I was obsessed.
I always took my mom’s phone and I would go to the garden to take some pictures. Most people actually liked the photos, so they motivated me to keep doing photos.
Where do you find your creative inspiration?
I love images (photos or videos) that tell you something and make you feel different emotions. That’s what motivates me to keep creating.
Do you prefer shooting digital or analog?
Honestly, I’m more comfortable with digital at the moment. I also shoot in analog but just for myself, or like an extra for the photoshoot, but my main photography is in digital.
What really makes you happy?
Sharing moments with my people, capturing moments, music, and driving fast to the end of the world.
If a genie gave you 3 wishes, what would they be?
A peaceful world with equality for all
Intelligence and creativity for all
Reciprocal love
What’s your proudest accomplishment?
To have become what I am now by myself: a simple photographer that’s proud of his work.
Who knows you the best?
My mom, no doubt.
How would you describe your work?
Colorful, full of light, and personal.
Where do you see your career going in the future?
Growing and improving until the end.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received about photography?
Never stop learning.
